The Littlest Christmas Tree

We performed our play at the church on the last day. There was a lot of hard work that went into it, we decided what we wanted to be in the play, learnt the songs and made some of our costumes.

Here are a few snapshots.

We were super stars and performed on stage, which was great fun!

Christmas Festivities

Well our last week of term was packed full of different festive things for us to do. We decorated our Christmas tree with lots of sparkly things.

We had a magical Christmas party and just when we thought it had finished looked who came to say hello......

After all of that chatting to Santa about what we had been up to we had a yummy Christmas lunch with all of the children and staff of Northrepps Primary School.

We went to see Jack and the Beanstalk with the whole school at Norwich Theatre.
Playing eye spy on the bus was fun.

"I see a plane"

The show was amazing, sparkly costumes, a really big giant and a pink cow. We sat on the edge of our seats excited to see what was going to happen next. We had a bite to eat before heading back.

A huge thank you to our super Friends Committee who do a fabulous job at fundraising and enable us to go on adventures like this one.

Sausage Stew

Preschool worked together to cut up lots of vegetables ready to make our sausage stew at forest school. On Wednesday 7th of December we all headed over to the Forest School site and had a wonderful morning making bird feeders and sliding down our mud slide.

We then all gathered around the fire and each got to help stir the stew until it was ready. All of us sat down and used our log stools as tables to eat our delicious stew, which warmed our tummies up after a chilly morning.

After we had finished our sausage stew we got to roast some marshmallows on the fire which were sticky and delicious.

We needed a rest after our busy morning!

We have been super busy creating wonderful pieces of art work to sell at our Art Exhibition tomorrow. Come and have a look!

Felbrigg Trip

Today we went on a trip to Felbrigg to explore the woods. It was a beautiful frosty morning. The grass and leaves were crunchy and lots of fun to stand on. There were one super places to hide. We discovered the old hollow oak tree and had lots of fun climbing inside it.

A squelchy time at Forest School

We had the most fabulous time on our mud slide and discovered that we can go super fast when it is wet.
"Yeeeeheeeee here we come"

It was a little bit rainy so we made a den.

People that help us

We have been very busy at preschool learning all about the different people that help us in the community.

One of the RNLI speakers came in to tell us all about how to stay safe when we are at the beach and all the good work they do. We got shown the uniform that all lifeguards wear so that we know who to speak to in an emergency.

Our role play area has been made into a fire station where we can save all our toys from fires. We have all made firefighter badges as well.

We made some orange foam which we pretended was fire and put it out with the help of our super speedy fire engine.

Potions, pumpkins and fireworks

This week at preschool we have been very busy scooping out pumpkins, making some potions and clay hedgehogs.

Inside we have been scooping out pumpkins and separating the pulp from the seeds so we could use the seeds as hedgehog spikes. We had great fun moving the pulp from one pumpkin to another and making lots of birthday cakes.

In our potion station we have had many different coloured potions such as pink, blue, yellow and green. As well as lots of different ingredients to add some extra texture and scent.
We have also been making clay hedgehogs with our left over pumpkin seeds and sticks and leaves we have found on our trips to forest school.
We have also made some fantastic rockets for bonfire night using lots of different materials.

The end of half-term

The end of our half term was also the end of space week and, we had one last trip to the moon with Zebedi the alien before he had to go back to his home planet.

We went on another very exciting trip to the post box to post all our old peers that have moved onto new schools the cards that we had made them.

At the end of term we were very busy preparing for our Harvest festival at the church. Our art table was always full as we made some wonderful leaf masks and crowns to wear for our autumn leaves song that we had all been practicing at Pre-school.

Space week

We have been very busy at this week at preschool, making lots of cards for some of our leavers, we are popping to the postbox to post them.

We have been spending lots of time in our space station with Zebedi the alien teddy bear. We made moon biscuits out of crackers, bananas, Cheerios and raisins and they were absolutely delicious. On our art table we have made many different types of aliens, including hand print aliens, shape aliens and drawn our very own.

During our PE lessons we have been doing some throwing and catching. As we threw the ball we shouted the name of the person we threw it to, this helped with remembering our friends names and our response skills.

The rain didn't stop us at Forest School we still put on our mud suits and braved the weather. We had so much fun and made our very own mud slide and found out the muddier we got the slipper the slide became. After some fun on the slide and exploring we headed back to our tent and had some lovely warm hot chocolate.

After forest school we went to the library bus to get lots of new books out including some space ones for our space station back at preschool.
