The Beach

On Tuesday the 24th of May 16 Year 6's from Nothrepps Primary gave us a 'Beach Safety' talk. They warned us of hazards on the beach and gave us top tips to keep safe.

And in the afternoon we were invited to Overstrand beach to practice our beach safety alonside Oak class. It was our first time on a minibus.

We explored the beach safely.

And what better way to end a trip to the beach than with an ice cream!

Making Ice Lollies

When it was really warm we decided to make some ice lollies to keep us cool. We made two different flavours apple and grape and strawberry milk. We looked at the instructions pictures on the recipes and followed them.

Taking it in turns to cut the fruit.

Then we had to do some mashing. It made some lovely squelchy sounds.

We had to be careful when we were pouring in the ingredients.

When we had finished we took them to the freezer so they were ready for the next day.

Forest School

We have had a fabulous time at Forest School. We have been busy exploring our new environment, making bubble wands out of sticks of willow, making clay faces in the trees and concocting different potions.

We like to help take our Forest School kit to our outdoor space.

Potion making.

Mini beast observation

Some of our friends brought in bugs to share with us during circle time.

We had great fun taking photos and drawing our mini beasts.

We have been watching our caterpillars turn in to cocoons and this week they have hatched out into butterfly's. We have been on a nature walk to collect some things for them and been taking great care in looking after them.

To celebrate World Book Day some pupils came over from Northrepps Primary School to share some stories with us.
